Your Plan:
Medicines, more tests, or surgery. Cost and your scheme or insurance eligibility are discussed before you decide.
Good to know:
Consultations under Aarogyasri are covered by the scheme, though waiting times may be longer and patients may not be able to choose their doctor.
Your doctor sets your date and writes it on your prescription or discharge slip. Bring that slip, all your eye drops (even empty bottles), and your medicine list.
Good to know:
Don’t stop your drops before the visit unless told to. Missed your date? Call the branch where you were seen and reschedule.
- Your pre-surgery checks are done before your date.
- Your surgeon tells you which medicines to take that morning and whether you can eat. Follow it exactly.
- Surgery is at Habsiguda. Wear comfortable, front-opening clothes. No makeup, creams or jewellery.
- Bring your ID, scheme or insurance papers, medicine list, reports, and one attendant.
- Before you leave you get your medicines, a drops chart and your next visit date.
Good to know:
Share cashless insurance details as soon as surgery is advised, as approval takes time.
Your surgeon’s instructions come first.

- Don’t rub or press your eye.
- Keep water and soap out of your eye. Avoid dust, makeup and heavy lifting until cleared.
- Wear the eye shield at night and sunglasses outdoors.
